Bhojpuri actor and singer Pawan Singh publicly apologised to his rumoured former partner Akshara Singh and her family during a Durga Puja event held in Munger, Bihar. The performer also hinted that the two former co-stars might soon collaborate on screen again, generating excitement among supporters who have hoped to see them reunite.
Pawan made these statements while participating in the Durga Puja festivities in Kalyanpur, Munger, where he attended a cultural program as the chief guest. Addressing the audience from the stage, he discussed his past dynamic with Akshara and her parents and asked for their pardon.
Referring to Akshara by an affectionate term, Pawan told the gathering that she is dear to him, comparing her to a child. He added that her father is like an elder brother to him and her mother is like a sister-in-law.
He further stated that his apology came from a sincere place and requested applause from the crowd. He noted that if his actions caused any hurt or distress to Akshara's parents, he offered his apologies and respects to them.
Pawan also spoke about destiny, suggesting that past events were ultimately determined by divine will. He then engaged the audience by asking how many attendees wanted to see him and Akshara share the screen as a duo once more.

Subsequently, in 2019, Akshara filed an FIR making allegations of mental harassment, physical abuse, and intimidation against Pawan.
