London: A tense situation unfolded outside India House as rival groups staged competing demonstrations near the Indian High Commission. Student organizations, featuring groups such as the Students' Federation of India-United Kingdom and the Congress-affiliated National Students' Union of India, gathered at the location to voice their concerns over alleged electoral irregularities. The demonstrators demanded transparency and accountability from the Election Commission.
In response to the student demonstration, members of the pro-Modi Indian diaspora organized a counter-protest at the site. Participants in the counter-demonstration waved the Indian Tricolour flag and raised vocal chants in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The two opposing factions engaged in verbal confrontations, exchanging competing slogans outside the diplomatic mission. Law enforcement officers from the London police were deployed to the scene, establishing a presence to keep the rival groups separated and prevent any escalation of unrest.
