While iQOO prepares for flagship releases in international markets, the Vivo sub-brand is also getting ready to expand its Neo product line in China with a strong emphasis on raw processing performance and extensive battery life. The upcoming iQOO Neo 12 is scheduled to debut later this month, bringing Qualcomm's top-tier silicon, an advanced high-refresh-rate screen, and an unusually large power capacity to the market.
Official scheduling places the launch event in China on October 28, with pre-orders already active ahead of the commercial release. Prospective buyers will be able to choose from three distinct color finishes: Fierce Edge, Shadow Black, and Frost Blade Blue. Notably, the Fierce Edge variant incorporates a textured back design that shifts in appearance under changing light, developed through a partnership with the China Academy of Art.
Externally, the device is built with a polished metal frame and a square camera island that houses an active cooling fan in its bottom-right corner. Internal specifications confirmed by the manufacturer include Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with a secondary Q3 gaming chip and an Ice Dome cooling architecture to manage thermal output during extended usage.
Among the most striking hardware features is a massive 9,000mAh battery, designed to withstand heavy gaming sessions without rapid depletion. The power unit reportedly utilizes fifth-generation silicon-anode composition with a high energy density, alongside support for 100W fast wired charging.
Display specifications point toward a 2K AMOLED panel capable of a rapid 185Hz refresh rate and a peak full-screen brightness reaching 2,200 nits. Additional display attributes expected include XDR dynamic range support, a low-light 1-nit sleep screen, and high touch-sampling rates for precise input tracking.
Gaming capabilities remain a central theme of the hardware, with the manufacturer highlighting native support for demanding titles, frame interpolation, and super-resolution scaling running concurrently. Full-scene ray tracing and customized control features are also part of the package. Comprehensive pricing and availability details are expected to emerge officially during the launch event on October 28.
