New Delhi: Italian luxury sports car manufacturer Ferrari has brought its Universo Ferrari exhibition to India for the first time, opening the immersive showcase in New Delhi on October 17. Scheduled to run for the public until November 1, the exhibition brings together the brand's sports cars, motorsport heritage, personalisation programmes, and future technology projects.

The event also underscores Ferrari's plans to expand its retail footprint in India, with two new dealerships scheduled to open by the end of 2026. The company is partnering with KUN Group to establish a dealership in Chennai and Infinity Group to expand its presence into Ahmedabad. According to the company, this retail growth is part of a long-term commitment to deepen relationships with local enthusiasts while maintaining its focus on exclusivity and personalised service.

Inaugurated by Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna, Universo Ferrari offers attendees a comprehensive look at the marque's ecosystem, covering road vehicles, racing, heritage, and customisation. The display includes the SF-26 Formula 1 car, the Le Mans-winning 499P, the 296 GT3, and the 296 Challenge race car. On the road car side, visitors can view the 849 Testarossa Spider, 12Cilindri Spider, Amalfi Spider, and the F80 supercar. Attendees are also able to examine the Ferrari Luce through a dedicated display highlighting the craftsmanship and technology behind the project.

Additional exhibits feature the Daytona SP3, its 840cv V12 engine, and a Tailor Made 12Cilindri Manuale. The Ferrari Classiche section highlights classic models such as the F50 and 365 GTB4, alongside a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti that previously participated in the 2008 Magic India Discovery tour. That particular vehicle was part of a 13,000-kilometre journey across India driven by dozens of international journalists to showcase the country's landscapes. The exhibition additionally highlights Ferrari Hypersail, extending the brand's performance focus beyond cars and circuit racing into sailing.

A central component of the New Delhi exhibition is the Tailor Made India project, which was developed in collaboration with students from the National Institute of Design. The initiative challenged students to explore the identities of 10 Indian cities, resulting in digital vehicle configurations created by Ferrari Design. Featuring five configurations each for the Ferrari 12Cilindri and Purosangue, the designs draw inspiration from Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Varanasi, and Goa, incorporating colors and materials reflective of each region.

As part of its youth engagement efforts, Ferrari invited roughly 1,000 students to attend seminars on innovation, technology, leadership, and design, offering young minds a chance to engage with company leaders. Furthermore, Ferrari and Avelon Luxe hosted a charity auction featuring 10 lots to benefit educational initiatives run by Save the Children and Bal Raksha Bharat in India, supporting school readiness and classroom development.

Avelon Luxe has also partnered with Ferrari as its Indian representative for the Ferrari Hypercar and Ferrari Challenge Middle East series. Ahead of the exhibition, a convoy of 25 Ferraris completed an approximately 1,800-kilometre drive from Mumbai to New Delhi, traveling through Vadodara, Udaipur, Jaipur, and Agra to bring together owners and fans. Tickets for the exhibition remain available through District until the conclusion of the event on November 1.
