Four men have been taken into custody in Madhya Pradesh's Tikamgarh district for allegedly trying to disrupt the morning assembly at a government school following a dispute over the inclusion of deities' names in morning prayers. The individuals identified by authorities are Heera Ahirwar, Rohit Ahirwar, Ajay Ahirwar, and Suresh Ahirwar.
The incident gained administrative attention after footage of the confrontation was recorded by onlookers and widely shared across social media platforms. According to reports, the group entered the school premises during morning prayers, raised objections to students invoking various gods and goddesses, and demanded an immediate halt to the prayer routine.
Their actions triggered a heated confrontation with members of the school staff. In response, the school principal submitted formal written complaints to both the district education officer and local law enforcement, accusing the men of intimidating teachers and students while obstructing official government duties.
Authorities also noted that the accused behaved abusively toward police personnel during the subsequent legal proceedings. Following their apprehension, the local sub-divisional magistrate's court ordered the men to be remanded to judicial custody in jail.
