Delhi-Srinagar bus attacked at dhaba during dinner break in Haryana
A private bus travelling from Delhi to Srinagar was attacked with stones and bricks at a dhaba in Haryana’s Karnal district around 10.30 pm on October 17, leaving an elderly passenger injured and several window panes shattered. The bus driver alleged that the attackers objected to the Jammu and Kashmir-registered vehicle and shouted, “Atankwadi gaadi nikal yahan se”. Haryana Police attributed the attack to a dispute over parking and giving way, while Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah sought action against those responsible.
