A political controversy has emerged as a woman accused a TVK leader of sexual assault, extortion, and intimidation. According to the survivor, the functionary allegedly exploited her under the promise of granting a party position, demanded one lakh rupees, and threatened to release private videos and harm her children.
The woman revealed that she attempted to register a formal complaint at the Arakkonam all-women police station, but personnel refused to file a First Information Report. Furthermore, she stated that the leader severed contact after she shared a positive pregnancy test report, claiming other women have faced similar exploitation.
Opposition parties, including the DMK and the AIADMK, have raised questions regarding the matter and highlighted the administration's silence over the allegations.
