Marco Rubio Heads To Jamnagar; Reliance Refinery, Energy Ties & Trade In Focus

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is en route to Jamnagar in Gujarat on the second day of his India visit to tour the Reliance Industries refinery complex. With global energy security impacted by ongoing crises in West Asia and between Russia and Ukraine, the trip highlights energy cooperation ahead of the US midterm elections. Energy discussions and trade deal negotiations remain key points of engagement as Reliance plans a similar unit in Texas. In addition to assessing refinery operations, visits to the facility and Vantara have been planned, with Rubio travelling via helicopter directly from Jamnagar Airport.
