The high-profile rally forms a central part of the broader opposition coalition campaign. Protesters and leaders are using the platform to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, pointing to alleged irregularities in the electoral process.
In addition to calling for the resignation of the top election official, the opposition parties are strongly advocating for the complete cancellation of the Special Intensive Revision currently affecting electoral rolls.
