Massive Security in Central Delhi Amid CJP Protest; Leaders Land at Airport
Central Delhi witnessed extensive security arrangements and barricading near Raisina Road and Parliament following a protest call by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). The Delhi Police set up multiple checkpoints spanning a five to six kilometre radius around sensitive government areas and Jantar Mantar, causing severe traffic jams extending towards ITO and key transit routes. Thousands of police personnel were deployed to restrict assembly after past extended demonstrations. Meanwhile, CJP founders and co-conveners Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das, and Ashutosh Ranka arrived at Delhi airport from Mumbai, raising allegations of detention against their members over demonstrations linked to voting rights.
