Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has urged people to light diyas in their homes and courtyards as Ayodhya prepares for its 10th Deepotsav, emphasizing that celebrations at the Ram Janmabhoomi should be matched by the lighting of lamps across the state.

Extending Diwali greetings to the public, Adityanath shared a message on social media encouraging citizens to place earthen lamps around their residences simultaneously when lights are kindled at the sacred site in Ayodhya. He portrayed the city on the banks of the Saryu River as being fully prepared for a massive celebration featuring millions of earthen lamps.

The chief minister welcomed international dignitaries, diplomats, high commissioners, and devotees traveling to Ayodhya for the occasion, noting that their participation underscores the themes of social harmony, cultural unity, and global fellowship.

Reflecting on the symbolism of the festival, Adityanath described an earthen lamp as a representation of inner awakening rather than merely a source of light, noting that a single flame is sufficient to conquer darkness.

Recalling the origins of the initiative launched in 2017 along the banks of the Saryu, the chief minister stated that the event has evolved far beyond establishing visual records into a core expression of national self-esteem and the resurgence of cultural heritage.

Concluding his address, Adityanath called upon everyone to embrace the principles of Lord Ram to foster an inclusive society where development benefits the most vulnerable and foundational values continue to guide future generations.
