He commended producer Namit Malhotra and director Nitesh Tiwari for elevating production values to global standards.

In his social media post, Shankar highlighted the visual effects, technical execution, and musical score composed by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. He made a specific mention of actor Yash, who portrays the character of Ravana in the film, describing his performance as a highlight of the project. Ramayana: Rise Of A Legend draws from sage Valmiki's ancient text Ramayan and the 16th-century bhakti-poet Goswami Tulsidas's epic poem Ramcharitmanas. The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, and Yash as Ravana. The ensemble cast also includes Arun Govil as King Dashrath, Indira Krishnan as Queen Kaushalya, Lara Dutta as Queen Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, Vivek Oberoi as Vidyutjiva, and Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra.

The feature concludes with a post-credits sequence introducing actor Sunny Deol in the role of Lord Hanuman. The character is set to feature prominently in the second installment of the franchise, Ramayana: Part 2, which is scheduled for a theatrical release in 2028.
