Delhi Police Deploy Pink Force Ahead Of CGP Protest, Detain Women In Connaught Place

Delhi Police have deployed their specialised women unit, known as the Pink Force, across key locations in the national capital ahead of the planned CGP protest. The personnel, identified by distinct pink vests, were tasked with managing and detaining women demonstrators trying to gather in Connaught Place and head towards Jantar Mantar. The deployment follows recent incidents of alleged misbehaviour directed towards female police personnel on duty. Heavy barricading and strict security arrangements were enforced along major routes including Janpath, effectively turning areas leading to Jantar Mantar into strictly regulated no-entry zones. Security pickets comprising male and female officers were positioned to prevent dharnas, control public movement, and preemptively take demonstrators into custody to preserve law and order in the New Delhi district. Further preventive security checks and deployment were maintained outside locations such as Bangla Sahib Gurudwara.
