Delhi Cops Detain Protesters at Connaught Place Amid Heavy Security Deployment
Protests were witnessed for a second consecutive day in central Delhi's Connaught Place as demonstrators attempted to march towards Jantar Mantar. With key roads and access points barricaded by authorities, small groups of protesters gathered across the inner and outer circles of Connaught Place, raising slogans before being detained. Delhi Police, alongside personnel from the Rapid Action Force, Central Reserve Police Force, and Border Security Force, maintained heavy security deployment across the area to preserve law and order. Student organisations and various political groups had called for flash demonstrations, but security personnel immediately detained gathering demonstrators into buses to prevent large assemblies.
