Actor Salman Khan urged paparazzi to be mindful while photographing actors, particularly female actors, from behind. At an IIFA press conference, the actor reminded photographers to maintain a sense of dignity and respect while clicking celebrities, especially when capturing them from certain angles.

A video of his remarks has now surfaced online. In the video, Salman can be heard addressing the photographers and saying, “Peeche ka yaad rakh lena. Itni ijjat to de hi sakte ho sab.” (Be mindful of shots from behind.

You can at least show them that much respect.)With his remark, the actor reiterated his message about respecting celebrities while photographing them at public events. His comments highlighted the need for photographers to be more considerate about the angles they choose when capturing actors and actresses. The actor’s remarks at the IIFA press conference echoed his earlier comments on an episode of Bigg Boss 20 Weekend Ka Vaar.

During the episode, the superstar had spoken about the way paparazzi photograph female celebrities, particularly when photographers deliberately capture intrusive shots from behind or focus on their thighs. Referring to instances involving actors such as Sai Manjrekar and Neha Dhupia, he had questioned why such photographs were taken when some women were clearly uncomfortable with them.

He had also urged women who disliked such behaviour to confront photographers directly.“The paparazzi are like, ‘Ye tangon ka shot mil jaye.’ And the one behind se jo shot leta hai, which none of the heroines or girls like. There must be a few jo bolti hongi ki haan, le lo, I don’t mind.

But unka kya, jinko ye achha nahi lagta?” Salman had said. (The paparazzi are like, ‘Let’s get a shot of her legs.’ And then there are those who take shots from behind, which none of the actresses or girls like. There must be a few who say, ‘Yes, take it, I don’t mind.’ But what about those who don’t like it?) Addressing women who felt uncomfortable with such intrusive photography, Salman had urged them to stand up for themselves and speak out against the behaviour.Meanwhile, on the work front, Salman is currently hosting Bigg Boss 20.

He will next be seen in Maatrubhumi.- Ends
