The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) on Thursday released the final-phase seat allotment results for Telangana Common Post Graduate Entrance Tests (TGCPGET) admissions 2026-27 for M.A., M.Sc., M.Com. and other postgraduate programmes at State universities.As per the allotment, a total of 34,059 seats are available under the convener quota. Of the 9,606 candidates who exercised web options during the final phase of counselling, 5,385 candidates have been allotted seats.
This includes 1,649 male candidates and 3,736 female candidates across different categories. Among them, 370 candidates belong to the Open Category (OC), 2,624 to Backward Classes (BC), 1,563 to Scheduled Castes (SC) and 828 to Scheduled Tribes (ST).On the other hand, in the first-phase seat allotment results for M.Ed. and M.P.Ed. programmes, a total of 811 seats were available under the convener quota, and 685 candidates have been allotted seats.
This includes 305 male candidates and 380 female candidates. In all, 1,198 candidates had exercised web options.Officials said candidates are required to report to their allotted colleges on or before October 27, and submit their original Transfer Certificate (TC).
All other original certificates, including the SSC marks memo, degree marks memo, caste certificate, EWS certificate and income certificate, are required only for physical verification. Published - October 22, 2026 08:21 pm IST
