A 31-year-old man from Muvattupuzha was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly committing a theft at a State-run Kerala State Beverages Corporation (KSBC) outlet.The accused, Arun Babu, has been charged with stealing liquor bottles worth ₹6,600 from a premium liquor outlet in Muvattupuzha, according to the Muvattupuzha police.The alleged theft took place at the outlet located along MC Road between 6.30 p.m. and 11 p.m. on October 20. It came to light after KSBC officials checked the stock on October 21.
The police registered a first information report under Section 305(e) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for theft of property belonging to the government agency.The accused was remanded in judicial custody. Published - October 22, 2026 07:47 pm IST
