Actor Isha Malviya, who is gearing up for her Hindi film debut with Tum Mere Ho with Gurmeet Choudhary, recently opened up about her personal life, past relationships, and whether she is ready to give love another chance. In an exclusive conversation with India Today, the actor admitted that while her career remains her priority, she has not closed the door on finding love again.Isha, whose personal life became a major talking point during her stint on Bigg Boss, was asked whether the constant attention surrounding her relationships, rather than her work, had ever affected her as an actor.Admitting that it bothered her initially, Isha said, "No, not now.

It used to. Earlier, it was bothering me.

That's why I made it all about myself. Now people only talk about my work.

I made sure that I tell everybody that everyone has a phase in life."The actor also spoke about moving forward and remaining open to the possibility of finding love again. "I will not say that I am not open to love or that I don't believe in love. These things are good to say.

But of course, eventually, I would want somebody to be with me. I will start a new journey in my life because you can't always be stuck in the same phase," she said.

However, Isha made it clear that her professional life is currently her focus. "The most important part is that my career is first for me. That has been the one thing that I try to focus on the most.

That's what I am doing now. I have worked, I have improved, and I have to work more," the actor added.Reflecting further on her experience on Bigg Boss, Isha said that anyone entering a reality show should be mentally prepared for what comes with it, rather than complaining about the experience afterwards. "I think that if you are going somewhere, you should first make sure that you are mentally prepared for it.

Otherwise, don't go. If you want to come out and crib about it, then didn't you know that shows are like that?

I was prepared for it," she said."Whatever happened, I was 19. Right now, I am going to turn 23.

What will you expect from an 18-year-old girl? I had never stayed in my hometown.

I had never really been around people. I was getting to know people in my personal life.

I would just go to work and come back home, go to the set and come back home. As my life opened up, I got to know that there are more things to know and a lot more to do," Isha added.Meanwhile, Isha recently featured in Tum Mere Ho (2026), which marks her Hindi film debut.

The actor, who has previously worked in television and Punjabi cinema, admitted that seeing herself take this step still feels like a dream."I am telling everyone that I still feel like I am living in a dream. But the reality is that I am actually living my dream.

So, I am more than happy; I am nervous, I am excited. I mean, all the emotions are mixed, and I honestly don't know what to say.

Because in every person's life, the first step towards something special is always very, very close to their heart. So, Tum Mere Ho is that for me," she said.Isha added, "And what should I say?

My debut, Bollywood debut. Finally!

Everybody wishes to see themselves on the big screen at some point in their life, especially actors. So, I think my dream is coming true."The actor also recalled how she once believed that certain dreams were simply too big to even think about. "I used to think that it's useless to think about impossible things.

And let's not think about it. But today I am here, promoting it.

We are sitting with you and doing this interview. So, I think I am very, very happy," she said.Expressing gratitude for how things have turned out, Isha added, "And happy is one word.

I think I am very grateful. I am blessed, and I am satisfied with whatever is happening in my life.

I think nothing could be better than this."She said, "And when you keep thinking, 'This is not it, that is not it,' I think I am finally putting a full stop to my own thinking. If this is not it, then what?

This is it."During the conversation, Isha also credited her co-actor Gurmeet Choudhary for believing in her and giving her the opportunity to make her debut."All thanks to him. Actually, just all thanks to him.

Because I always say this, I have also done a Punjabi film, and now I have stepped into Bollywood. Believing in new faces in the industry and giving them work with trust is a big thing," she said.Highlighting how difficult it can be for newcomers to find people willing to take a chance on them, Isha added, "You know, having that confidence in someone and saying, 'We are sure that you will make it somehow, and you are perfect for our character.' That selection and that faith itself are very, very difficult because it doesn't happen."She further explained the responsibility that comes with being trusted to headline a film as a newcomer."How do you take such a big chance in life?

You are bringing somebody who hasn't been seen much in Bollywood, or you are bringing a debutant for a beautiful film with amazing characters. So, it is a challenge in itself.

More than a challenge, it is a responsibility," the actor said.Summing up her feelings about the opportunity, Isha added, "I feel really lucky and proud that I am a part of it."Tum Mere Ho theatrically released on October 23, 2026.- Ends
