Opposition Supreme Court March, Security Beefed Up, Section 163 Imposed
Security has been heavily fortified around the Supreme Court ahead of a planned march by opposition INDIA bloc leaders starting from Barakhamba Road towards the apex court. Delhi Police, the Rapid Action Force, and paramilitary units have deployed personnel and stationed detention buses near Mandi House roundabout. Prohibitory orders under Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita Section 163 have been imposed, banning gatherings around the Bhagwan Das Road area. The planned protest continues despite the Chief Justice of India turning down a request for an appointment with the opposition, citing sub judice matters and separation of powers. The protest stems from the opposition's demands regarding Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and systemic issues raised from Parliament to the streets.
