Congress Protest: Delhi Police Fortify Mandi House, Section 163 Imposed Ahead of March
Congress workers from Himachal Pradesh have gathered at Himachal Bhavan near Mandi House ahead of the scheduled opposition protest march towards the Supreme Court. Delhi Police and Rapid Action Force personnel have fortified the area, using ropes and barricades to keep demonstrators within Himachal Bhavan premises. Authorities have cited prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, prohibiting gatherings, meetings, and protest marches. Riot control vehicles have also been stationed at the Mandi House roundabout. Despite security measures and the closure of six metro stations, vehicular traffic and public transport across central Delhi continue to function smoothly during peak office hours without major road barricading outside the Supreme Court.
