Opposition INDIA Bloc Plans Major Mobilisation in Delhi, March to Supreme Court
The opposition INDIA bloc is preparing for a major mobilisation and protest march in Delhi on October 12. Senior leaders across allied parties, including the Trinamool Congress and CPM, have been requested to remain present in the national capital to take part in the demonstration. Leaders plan to submit a memorandum against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to the Supreme Court during the march. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee cancelled her scheduled return to Kolkata to attend the protest, alongside party leader Abhishek Banerjee. The joint opposition decision follows a police crackdown and detention of protesters in Delhi, prompting alliance parties to intensify their agitation on the streets.
