The INDIA bloc has announced plans for a massive mobilization and protest march in the national capital on October 12. Senior opposition leaders, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, and Abhishek Banerjee, are slated to participate in the demonstration. INDIA bloc leaders have decided to submit a memorandum regarding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to the Supreme Court, having previously approached the President. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee cancelled her scheduled return to Kolkata following her detention by police in Delhi and will stay back to join the demonstration.
