New Delhi: A young girl's concern for drought-hit farmers in Maharashtra has deeply moved Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis after she decided to empty her piggy bank to aid the agricultural community.

Varda Timande, along with her younger brother, contributed Rs 3,575 to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund in hopes of bringing relief to struggling families. Their compassionate act quickly drew the attention of Fadnavis, who highlighted the story on his official social media channels.

During an interaction, Varda voiced her worries about the harsh conditions facing farmers in drought-affected areas. She expressed a desire to see them receive support during their hardships and hoped her savings could help restore some happiness to their lives.

Fadnavis acknowledged that the siblings' contribution deeply touched him. He commended Varda's remarkable empathy toward the farming community, affectionately known as Baliraja.

The Chief Minister described the donation as a heartfelt expression of love and a significant act of kindness from young minds. He added that the children's generosity serves as a valuable lesson for the broader community, proving that empathy and the desire to assist others transcend age and wealth.
