Sources said the couple solemnised their marriage under the Special Marriage Act in New Delhi on Friday. Family members from both sides attended the ceremony as witnesses.The wedding functions in Srinagar and New Delhi were attended by close relatives and family members from both sides.
Omar's parents, National Conference president Farooq Abdullah and Mollie Abdullah, his three sisters and other close relatives attended the functions. Nidhi's parents, veteran journalist MK Razdan and Sarla Razdan, were also present.This is the second marriage for both.
Omar, 56, was previously married to Payal, but the Supreme Court dissolved their marriage through an order in July this year after the two reached a settlement.Nidhi, 49, is also entering her second marriage.- Ends
