Piyush Goyal on Chinese goods flooding Indian markets

Asked why Chinese products continue to outsell Indian goods around Diwali, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said the change must come from consumer choice rather than coercion. He said India, as a democracy operating within WTO rules, cannot force people to avoid imports, and urged Indians to develop the same preference for domestic products seen in Japan and South Korea.
