INDIA Bloc Marches to Bhagwan Das Road, Files Supreme Court Plea Against SIR Exercise

Opposition leaders and party workers from the INDIA bloc, including members of the Congress and NSUI, marched towards Bhagwan Das Road as their protest concluded. A petition has been submitted to the Supreme Court challenging the voting processes unfolding across several states and demanding the scrapping of the Special Intensive Revision exercise, alleging that it led to the deletion of voter names. Senior leaders Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav joined the protest atop a vehicle, projecting opposition unity, while student demonstrators demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Heavy police deployment, notably including women police personnel, was stationed along the route to manage the demonstration.
