Delhi Traders Body Opposes Protests at Connaught Place Ahead of CJP Stir

Ahead of the planned CJP stir in the national capital, the New Delhi Traders Association voiced strong opposition to holding demonstrations in Connaught Place. The traders body stated that the commercial hub is a market area and central business district rather than a protest site, urging organisers to hold demonstrations at designated locations to avoid causing massive financial losses. Pointing to disruptions and shop closures experienced during recent demonstrations, the traders emphasised that their right to livelihood and peaceful business must not be compromised during the festive season. Meanwhile, Delhi Police prepared traffic measures to maintain safety and keep shops operational.
