Delhi Cops Beef Up Security, Put Traffic Curbs Ahead Of CJP Tiranga Rally
Security has been stepped up across central Delhi ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party's planned Tiranga rally at Connaught Place's Central Park. The venue has been shut down for two days, and Delhi Police announced traffic diversions and barricades on arterial roads starting from 3 PM. Police permitted only 11 people to unfurl the national flag, urging the public not to disturb peace and tranquility. Ahead of the 5 PM protest call, the New Delhi Traders Association voiced concern over potential business disruptions during the festive season. Authorities clarified that markets and metro stations remain open, but gatherings at Central Park are strictly prohibited.
