Delhi Braces For CJP Tiranga Rally: Traffic Advisory Issued, Central Park Shut
Delhi Police have issued travel advisories and planned route diversions ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party's planned Tiranga Rally at Connaught Place. Markings for arterial roads including Sansad Marg and Barakhamba Road indicate heavy congestion from 3 PM onwards, with authorities urging commuters to plan journeys well in advance. The call marks the outfit's fourth demonstration in the capital following protests on 20 July, 10 October, and 11 October. Ahead of the scheduled gathering at Central Park, the New Delhi Municipal Council closed the public space for two days citing administrative reasons. Security has been augmented across the vicinity, with Rapid Action Force personnel and Delhi Police stationed outside Rajiv Chowk Metro station. Tensions follow the judicial custody of co-conveners Saurabh Das and Ashutosh Ranka in Tihar Jail. Authorities remain concerned about commercial disruptions for traders and festive commuters during Navratri.
