Delhi Braces For CJP Tiranga Rally; NDMC Shuts Central Park, Section 163 Imposed

Delhi is on high alert ahead of a planned Tiranga rally called by CJP founder Abhijeet Deepke at Central Park in Connaught Place. Ahead of the protest, the New Delhi Municipal Council closed the park for two days citing administrative work. Prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita have been imposed in Connaught Place and nearby areas. Delhi Police appealed to the public not to join demonstrations violating prohibitory orders, warning that action will be taken against violators, while permitting only 11 people to unfurl the flag at an allotted spot. Heavy security deployment and traffic diversions are in place across central Delhi following previous confrontations and the detention of party co-convenors Saurabh Das and Ashutosh Ranka. Separately, Senior Advocate Mahesh Jethmalani addressed the Supreme Court seeking internal files and dissenting notes concerning Election Commission decisions, explaining that materials must possess sufficient probative value showing process illegality to impact outcomes.
