MSP, Solar Pumps and Dairy Sector: Boost for Farmers Across IndiaA public address detailed government initiatives supporting farmers and transforming the rural economy across the country. Amid rising global fertiliser costs, nearly 16 lakh crore rupees were spent to shield agriculturalists from price spikes, alongside distributing over 24 lakh crore rupees under minimum support price schemes for wheat and paddy over the last twelve years.

More than two lakh crore rupees have been disbursed under the PM Fasal Bima Yojana, while around 12 lakh solar pumps sanctioned under the PM-KUSUM scheme saved over 80 crore litres of diesel. Science and technology have also been introduced into daily farming, with 26 crore Soil Health Cards and nearly 3,000 climate-resilient seed varieties distributed.

Furthermore, dairy and animal husbandry sectors received significant support through the Rashtriya Gokul Mission, free vaccination drives administering nearly 150 crore doses, and scientific breeding techniques, boosting average daily milk output from under five litres in 2013-14 to nearly eight litres.
