The popular password manager 1Password is officially coming to Muse. Alexandr Wang, the Chief AI Officer of Meta, recently announced on X (formerly Twitter) that this highly requested feature will be rolling out to the AI agent over the next few days."We're excited to be bringing 1Password to Muse!

It'll be rolling out over the coming days, just ask your Muse!" Wang posted.David Singleton also shared the news on the platform, highlighting the massive security benefits for users. He noted that the integration gives users a secure way to let Muse sign in and keep working, as users approve each login while their passwords stay safely inside their vault.Solving a Major Security RiskThis new integration is part of the newly launched 1Password for Agents platform.

As AI agents become smarter, people are using them to complete real-world tasks like booking flights, paying bills, or ordering groceries. To complete these jobs, the AI often needs to log into your personal accounts.

However, directly pasting your passwords into an AI chat can be a major security risk, as the AI might remember, store, or accidentally expose them. The new platform from 1Password solves this problem completely.

It allows personal AI agents to log into websites and get tasks done for you, without ever actually seeing or taking possession of your passwords. How the Secure AI Login WorksWhen your AI agent reaches a website's sign-in screen, it sends a request to your 1Password vault asking for the login details. Instead of handing over the data, the system sends a notification to your personal device asking if you want to approve or deny the login request.

If you tap to approve it, 1Password directly auto-fills the password into the website's sign-in form using a unique digital key to verify its identity. The AI agent is allowed inside the account to finish its assigned task, but it never sees your actual password.

Once the login is successful, 1Password protects your data so the agent cannot read or reuse it.What 1Password is Bringing for AllBeyond just Muse, 1Password for Agents is teaming up with a long list of popular companies to make the entire AI landscape safer for everyday users. The company shared a detailed post on X about the massive rollout."Today we announce 1Password for Agents platform, building with companies @Muse, SpaceX Super Intelligence Grok @Bot, @AnthropicAI’s @Claudeai, @OpenAI, @TownAI, @Browserbase, @Browser_use, @heydana_ai, Instinct, @usekernel, @Perplexity_ai, @tryramp, @Tomo, and @wajo_ai, with more integrations on the way," 1Password posted on X.The company explained that they heard from many customers who want to use these new personal AI agents to get more done, but want greater control over what the agent can access.

The new platform gives agents access without giving up passwords. As the company noted in their post, the agent gets the task done, but it does not get your passwords.Total Control for UsersThis means you can comfortably let an AI safely book a vacation on Airbnb or create a study plan on Canvas without worrying about your credentials getting leaked.

You stay in complete control of your data at all times.Unless you manually opt-in and approve an agent connector, the AI cannot touch your 1Password vault or access your other saved passwords. The 1Password for Agents feature is completely free and optional for all users on 1Password Individual and Family accounts.

It is rolling out across all platforms in coming days to make your daily AI tasks much safer. - Ends
