Speaking during the public impeachment, she questioned the decision to delete her voter ID and asked the government who had given it the right to do so. She also urged authorities to prove that she was a citizen of the country.
Woman questions voter ID deletion after using it for years
Anita Jaiswal, who moved to Delhi from Kolkata in 2003, said she had voted in every election from 2012 to 2025 using her voter ID. She said the same identity document had helped her obtain other essential documents, including her Aadhaar card, and submit documents for her daughter’s scholarship.
