'We Should Have An Ocean': Trump Pitches Renaming Atlantic Or Pacific
US President Donald Trump has proposed renaming either the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean before leaving office in 2028, suggesting names such as "Trump Ocean" or "Ocean of the Americas". Addressing the idea, Trump remarked, "We call it Trump Ocean or-. or Ocean of the Americas, something like that. We. No, we have to. We should have, before I get out, I think we should have an ocean, and we need a great river." He clarified he does not intend to alter the name of the Hudson River. The fresh pitch follows his earlier signalling of intent to rename the Strait of Hormuz as Trump Strait amid the West Asia conflict.
