Several vehicles travelling behind Rahul Gandhi's car were involved in a collision along the UP Expressway. Authorities confirmed that the Congress leader's primary vehicle managed to avoid the incident and remained entirely safe.
At the time of the mishap, Gandhi was journeying toward Sultanpur. A local court was scheduled to deliver its verdict there regarding a defamation case stemming from past remarks made about then-BJP president Amit Shah.
The underlying legal dispute originated from a complaint filed by BJP leader Vijay Mishra on August 4, 2018. Despite the convoy collision disrupting the trailing vehicles, the trip proceeded as the political figure headed toward the scheduled court appearance.
