US Trade Deal: Opposition Questions Centre Over Lack Of Parliament Disclosure
The opposition has questioned the central government regarding the disclosure of details concerning a proposed trade agreement with the United States. Objections were raised over updates on crude oil refining, fuel procurement, and defence systems emerging from foreign press conferences rather than direct statements to Parliament. The opposition pointed out that trade pacts determine crop prices for farmers, margins for small manufacturers, and household fuel expenses. Demands have been raised for the central government to place all terms before Parliament to clarify domestic commitments and gains before signing any bilateral accord.
