Two girl students allegedly drowned while washing clothes in a pond at Hosadu, Kundapur taluk in Udupi district, on Sunday.They were identified as Vaishali and Sunita, Class 7 students of a nearby government school. Belonging to the Hakki Pikki community, they lived in a hut at Mullikatte and were natives of Haveri district, according to preliminary reports.Their bodies were shifted to the mortuary of the government hospital in Kundapur.
