The water level in Vaigai dam stood at 49.61 ft (maximum level 71 ft) with an inflow of 1441 cusecs and a discharge of 86 cusecs.The rainfall (in mm) in the region during the last 24 hours ending 6 a.m. on Sunday was as follows: Andipatti: 2.6, Veerapandi: 13.6, Manjalar: 17, Vaigai dam: 12.4, Periyar dam: 14 and Thekkadi recorded 28.8 mm.
