In Mumbai’s Vasai, however, the dress code came with vegetables, the runway ran through a market and the models needed nothing but confidence. The quirky fashion walk, titled Vision Vogue Fashion Week, transformed the narrow lanes of Vasai’s bustling vegetable market into an impromptu runway. Conceptualised by Mumbai-based fashion mentor and model Sahil Singh, the event gave conventional fashion shows a distinctly desi twist, with everyday market produce doubling up as quirky accessories.A video of the event shared by Singh on Instagram shows young men and women confidently strutting through the market, turning heads as they make their way past vegetable stalls and shoppers.

There are no elaborate sets, flashing cameras or curated playlists. Instead, the models bring their own flair to the lively surroundings, treating the market lanes like a high-fashion ramp. And the accessories?

They are straight from the neighbourhood vegetable vendor. One model was seen carrying a radish, while another used a bunch of coriander leaves to add an unexpected touch to the outfit.

Watch the video here: The models paired their stylish ensembles with vegetables and other everyday market items, making the most of what is around them.Adding to the video's quirky appeal is the trending background music of the Pahadi song Swami Pardesh, which gives the fashion walk a lively, distinctly local flavour.Singh, who conceptualised the event, said the idea was inspired by Vogue and aimed to bring a creative interpretation of conventional fashion shows to a familiar public space. Rather than relying on luxury outfits and designer labels, Vision Vogue Fashion Week put the spotlight on confidence, creativity and the ability to make a statement with whatever is at hand. The clip has since gone viral, with social media users amazed by both the unusual concept and the models' confidence.
