A 55-year-old man was killed in Keralam's Kochi when a luxury car, allegedly driven by the 17-year-old son of a judge, hit his scooter in the early hours of Sunday.The car, a Mercedes Benz, was found to be registered under the judicial officer's name. The incident took place early morning at Cheranalloor in Kochi.The accused was driving a Mercedes Benz and, as per the police, was not drunk at the time of the incident.His blood samples have been collected for further analysis.
The victim has been identified as Jayabalakrishnan.The car rammed into the rear of his scooter, killing him. Following the accident, the 17-year-old driver was taken into police custody.The police have invoked charges relating to reckless driving and causing death by negligence in the matter.- Ends
