After the two were separated during a rescue in West Bengal’s Kurseong, forest staff spent seven hours tracking the mother, who eventually returned with her herd to collect her calf.In a post shared by Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan, the story has been explained in detail along with a video. So, both elephants had fallen into a water tank and were rescued by forest staff. However, the calf got separated from its mother during the operation, prompting the Kurseong forest division team to track her down and reunite the pair.As the forest staff released the little elephant carefully in the wild, the calf was seen walking towards the forest when an elephant emerged from the dense trees.
The animal briefly retreated into the jungle before returning with the rest of the herd. The mother elephant then approached the calf and took it along, resulting in a heartwarming sight after hours of separation.Sharing the video, Kaswan praised the forest staff for their efforts. “What a beautiful video,” he wrote, recounting how the team tracked the mother and brought the two back together. “It took 7 hours but they reunited them,” he added, describing the rescue team's work as “Gods work”.Watch the video here:What a beautiful video.
