Delhi Traffic Advisory for Connaught Place Stir; CJP Protests Likely to Affect Roads

Delhi Police have issued a comprehensive traffic advisory anticipating disruptions around Connaught Place from 3:00 PM onwards due to a demonstration planned by CJP at Central Park. Commuters have been advised to plan their journeys in advance, budget extra travel time, use public transport where possible, and follow instructions from traffic personnel. Roads such as Sansad Marg and Barakhamba Road are expected to be affected, with traffic diversions planned based on the ground situation. Authorities noted that security measures remain substantially relaxed compared to the heavy barricading, border checks, and internet shutdown witnessed on October 10. While border checkpoints have not been set up and public movement across Central Delhi remains largely unaffected, Central Park has been shut for administrative work. Police may permit a limited group of people to unfold the national flag and sing the national anthem at an alternative designated location rather than Central Park.
