CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka released from Tihar Jail

A Special Executive Magistrate court ordered the release of Cockroach Janta Party leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka after they furnished bonds and submitted written undertakings not to breach peace or call for protests at Jantar Mantar while the site remains denotified. The court held that further judicial custody was not necessary at this stage, noting the assurances provided by the two leaders. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for October 23, while proceedings under preventive provisions of the BNSS will continue.
