Kumaraswamy on Sunday alleged that Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar had struck a ₹600 crore deal to politically “finish off” the family of former Prime Minister H.D.
Deve Gowda.“There is no doubt that the Chief Minister is the one who has spoken about finishing off a family; that is Mr. Deve Gowda’s family.
There are many conspiracies that have been plotted against our family, and this (₹600 crore deal) is one among them,” Mr. Kumaraswamy told presspersons here.“That is why I had sought a detailed investigation (into the episode of the ‘sting’ video).
If I ask the government to arrest the kingpin of sting operations, it allows him to take anticipatory bail. The government is targeting persons who are unconnected with the case.
When I point out the suspicious death of Vikas, who worked for the person involved in the sting operation, the Home Minister seeks evidence,” he said.He accused Home Minister Priyank Kharge of sheltering those accused of indulging in the ‘sting operation’. Published - October 25, 2026 08:24 pm IST
