The new poster for Shah Rukh Khan's much-anticipated action entertainer King has drawn comparisons with Dhurandhar 2. Social media users pointed to similarities in their aesthetic, fire-filled backdrop and framing, with one writing, “Every masterpiece has its cheap copy.”Unveiled on Tuesday, October 27, the poster shows Shah Rukh carrying a rose between his lips and wearing an intense expression.

While it teases a blend of action and romance, much of the online conversation has focused on claims that its poster resembles Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2.One X user criticised the poster, writing, “You can try to copy the aesthetic, the fire and the frame, but you can never be Dhurandhar, @iamsrk. Shah Rukh Khan's #King poster is cheap AI-generated slop (sic).” Another user alleged that the film's script and poster had drawn from other projects.

The post read, “Bro copied the script from Leon: The Professional, and now guess what? Bro copied the poster too from #Dhurandhar2. #KING Shah Rukh Khan for a reason (sic).” A third user accused the makers of lifting the design concept from Dhurandhar: The Revenge.

The translated post read, “Have some shame. You have copied the poster design concept of Dhurandhar: The Revenge (sic).”Another user compared the promotional material with two films and wrote, “The first poster was copied from Brad Pitt's F1, the second from Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2.

Now just imagine how many movies the whole film will be a copy of. Copy-paste master Siddharth Anand.

But I've never believed in that distinction. I played roles such as Darr early in my career, a character who, by today's standards, would be called a villain or a stalker.

Then came Don, Anjaam and Baazigar. I was the bad guy in all of them,” he told fans.Directed by Siddharth Anand, King is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures.
