BJP Rebuts INDIA Bloc Ramlila Rally, Cites 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots And Defeats In StatesFollowing the conclusion of the INDIA bloc's mega rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan, the Bharatiya Janata Party mounted a counter-offensive against the opposition. The BJP scheduled a press conference featuring national spokesperson Sambit Patra to rebut allegations raised by Rahul Gandhi, who demanded the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner.

Concurrently, BJP national president Nitin Nabin criticised the opposition leaders, asserting that the political parties participating in the rally represent defeated forces from states like Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal seeking to spread anarchy out of frustration. The BJP also organised counter-protest marches in Delhi and Rohtak, raising the 1984 anti-Sikh riots to accuse the Congress party and its allies of ignoring historical violence against victims while staging political agitations in the national capital.
