BJP Protests Against Congress MP Over JNU Probe, Demands Resignation

A political confrontation has emerged as Bharatiya Janata Party women MPs prepare to protest at the Congress headquarters, demanding the resignation of Congress MP Bimal Akoijam from Parliament. The demands follow the termination of his services by Jawaharlal Nehru University after an internal inquiry into allegations of sexual misconduct and harassment. The probe findings detailed inappropriate questioning regarding female students' dating histories, sexually explicit remarks, and crossing of professional boundaries. Akoijam has dismissed all charges as baseless and politically motivated, while the BJP accuses the Congress leadership of silence and hypocrisy on women's safety.
