Karan Wahi has responded to Uditi Singh's account of their breakup on Bigg Boss 20. He said marriage was his intention, but differing compatibility ended the relationship.Karan Wahi and Uditi Singh dated for more than two years Television actor Karan Wahi has clarified that while he entered his relationship with Uditi Singh hoping it would eventually lead to marriage, the couple never made concrete wedding plans.

The 40-year-old, who dated the Bigg Boss 20 contestant for over two years, said they ultimately weren't compatible enough to make the relationship work. His comments come after Uditi spoke about their past relationship on Bigg Boss 20, describing frequent arguments over cleanliness and caring for their pet. She also said she often felt discouraged by Karan, who, according to her, would tell her she couldn't do certain things.Speaking to YouTuber Siddharth Kannan, Karan explained that he was at a stage in life when he wanted a relationship to have a clear future. "I was 33–34 when I started dating her.

So, I was at an age where I was like, this time when I got into a relationship, this has to materialise into marriage. Otherwise, I don't want a relationship," he said. However, he stressed that having marriage in mind didn't mean they were on the verge of actually having the wedding. "There was nothing like we were about to get married, or we had plans to get married.

I think it was the intention to take it towards marriage, which I think has been misconstrued as ‘we were going to get married’. I think we were not compatible enough.

At least, that's my truth," he added. Uditi had offered her perspective on the breakup during a conversation inside the Bigg Boss 20 house.

She recalled that the couple got a golden retriever during the COVID-19 lockdown, but disagreements over how to keep things clean soon became a source of tension."We got a pet during the lockdown, a golden retriever, and that led to a lot of fights. Since it was during Covid, cleanliness was a major concern for both of us.

My way of cleaning was different from his," she said. Uditi also alleged that Karan could be dominant and that his comments often left her feeling demotivated. "He was also a little dominant and would say, ‘You don't know how to do this.’ Because of the age gap, he would often tell me, ‘You won't be able to do it’ and ‘You don't know how to do it.’ Your partner is the one demotivating you.

When the stars don't align, there are fights over everything," she said.Singh also spoke about the choices she made during the lockdown, when she moved to India and looked for jobs at a multinational company so she could stay closer to Karan. She said they were serious about their future and had discussed marriage, but the relationship eventually came to an end.

Uditi broke down while recounting the experience, prompting Maahi Vij and the other contestants to hug and comfort her."We were quite serious about dating and then marriage. It was about marriage," she said.Karan and Uditi dated for more than two years before their relationship ended in 2022.

While Uditi has spoken about the arguments and how she felt within the relationship, Karan's account centres on their lack of compatibility and his intention to work towards marriage, rather than any firm wedding plans.Karan is known for television shows such as Remix, Dill Mill Gayye and Kuch Toh Log Kahenge. He has also appeared on reality shows including Khatron Ke Khiladi and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, competed in Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 and made a guest appearance on Bigg Boss 13.- Ends
