The homecoming marked the successful completion of Lokayan 26, which was flagged off from Kochi on January 20, 2026. The expedition included 17 port calls across Asia, Europe, Africa and North America, along with two transatlantic crossings.
The Flag-in Ceremony was presided over by Vice Admiral Sameer Saxena, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command. He commended the crew for their perseverance, professionalism and resilience, saying the achievement reflected the Navy's high standards of sail training and seamanship.
