India Today installs TV at Asian games gold medalist Neeru Dhanda’s home

Asian Games gold medallist and trap shooter Neeru Dhanda’s family in Jind, Haryana, welcomed a television installed by Aaj Tak after the athlete mentioned on the channel’s show that her family did not have a TV at home due to poverty. Neeru’s mother, Sudesh Devi, said that in 36 years of marriage, the family had never owned a television or even a radio. The family welcomed the new TV as a member of the household, with Sudesh Devi applying a haldi tilak to it. Her parents thanked Aaj Tak and expressed hope that they would watch Neeru compete for gold at the 2028 Olympics on the same television.
